Our Logo

The Logo for IISD was Conceptualised during Jan-Feb 2007, Which is having the legal status of Trade Mark and included in the Registration Document of Institution. It was taken care, during that time, that the Objective, Likely activities and Concept Of Sustainability is reflected completely in the Logo. Since Environment Protection does not limit to any national boundary, for working in this Domain, One need to act on the entire Planet, Keeping the Globe in mind; Hence in the Logo the Planet Earth is Considered as the first element that needs to be adopted as the Key Constituent of the Logo. Since the Environmental Sustainability is represented by Land, Water, Sea and Vegetation; the Latitudes and Longitudes are imagined with the Colour of Green (Vegetation) with little light brown lines representing soil or the land mass. There are few Leaves Of Neem also can be seen as it's indigenous to India and having great relevance for humanity, because of it's priceless medicinal values.
