The Building sector has major impacts not only on economic and social life, but also on the Natural and Built environment. Various building activities, such as the design, construction, use, refurbishment and demolition of buildings, directly and indirectly affect the energy and environmental performance of the sector. Conventional Building System, although consumps 40% of the total energy consumption, comparatively is less energy efficient, than Green Building System. Against this backdrop, the concept of "Green Building" reducing the harmful effect on the environment of buildings and construction activities has been attracting the attention of stakeholders. This can range from using recycled materials carried by low-polluting forms of transport in construction to maximizing energy efficiency in a finished building, for example through improved insulation and solar-powered energy. Green Building & Architecture is therefore, the practice of increasing the efficiency with which buildings use resources - energy, water, and materials - while reducing building impacts on human health and the environment, through better sitting, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and removal - the complete Building Life Cycle. On the aesthetic side of green architecture or sustainable design is the philosophy of designing a building that is in harmony with the natural features and resources surrounding the site. There are several key steps in designing Sustainable Buildings: specify 'Green' Building Materials" from local sources, reduce loads, optimize systems, and generate on-site renewable energy. Building energy simulation tools provide facility to embedded energy efficiency in buildings by predicting their behavior under given climatic conditions and usage patterns.

We at IISD, obtain Green Building Certifications for buildings under relevant green rating systems. We support the project team throughout the project period to get the appropriate rating for the project. We also conduct site visits at various stages for ensuring the systematic working process of the project. We deliver the project quickly and at feasible rates. The cost of certification varies from project to project.

We at IISD, have accredited professionals from LEED, IGBC and GRIHA who will take up the projects and help you get the projects certified. Our Core Values are based on client centric approach, feasible rates, quick delivery systems, Accredited knowledgeable Professionals. We believe in Quality, Innovation and Integration.

Services:
Green Building Certification for LEED IGBC and GRIHA
Facilitate to obtain a green certification for projects under specific rating program. We support the project team throughout the project period to get the appropriate rating for the project.

Energy and Lighting Simulations
We conduct simulations as per prescribed standards to meet mandatory requirements and credits under different rating systems.

Third party Building Commissioning
Commissioning shall verify and ensure that fundamental building elements and systems proposed and implemented as per the requirements are designed, installed and calibrated to operate as intended and would perform as expected during the performance period.

Carbon and Water Footprint Study
We help industries to understand both the direct and indirect emission levels and suggest opportunities to reduce carbon and water footprint.

The purpose of this conference is to explore ways that educational, governmental and industrial institutions can respond locally to global environmental challenges. The conference will be directed at disseminating concrete proposals and ideas for institutional change - how to compute an organization's climate footprint, how to upgrade existing buildings and plan new, more environmentally friendly ones, and how to develop institutional commitment for adopting these kinds of changes.

In fact, this is high time, that we all should have and invest in climate friendly Green Buildings, with affordable prices, which not only emit either no or least Green House Gases (GHGs), at the time of Construction, but also takes care to minimize GHG emission during it's existence, such as operation and maintenance (O&M) activities too and off-set the GHG release. There is a huge possibility of getting state of art Energy and Water Efficient Buildings, with new-age environment friendly Buildings Materials and maximum infusion of Renewable Energy in Construction Sector, which is responsible for 30 to 40% of energy consumption at large. By making our Constructions energy and water efficient, we do not only save Energy and Resources, but save money and also may attract Carbon Credits, under CDM of UNFCCC; which is always a win-win situation.

Sustainable Living has more to do with the quality of space and assurance of minimum light and ventilation, than the mere application of only costly building materials. It's important to understand that every form of construction or architecture has some impact on the environment. For inhabitants, it is also important to feel comfort and peace. Architects and interior designers assume a significant role in crafting homes that are not only architecturally responsible but also pay equal attention to interior decor that is technically sound and thoughtful and not just visually appealing. The sustainable design tenets follow, to create net-zero homes, which minimise consumption, maximise efficiency, reduce waste, and generate energy. The post-pandemic buildings should be self-reliant, with minimum resource consumption, net-zero, which are environment and climate friendly, adopting maximum elements of nature.

As India is a global Leader in Green House Gas (GHG) emission Reduction efforts, and delivering excellence in many related fronts, there is an urgent need to create sufficient techno-commercial awareness in this sector, that IISD-CMI is working and disseminating the basic technical knowhow, information, executing such projects and also showcasing, how that's possible, in a more simple way, to public, including how to compute an organization's climate footprint, upgrade existing buildings plan, both old and new, in Green Building Sector. We at IISD-CMI, are among few, who are much ahead of others, and first of it's kind in India, in advanced thinking and with right vision, providing able leadership, to this key sector, influencing national development, converging all of our historic efforts, to ensure excellence in individual as well as societal level, in national interest to ensure a better future, for our next generation.

We at CMI, are few, who are knowledgeable, ahead of others in advanced thinking and after all with right vision, should come out for providing able leadership to this key sector, influencing national development, this unique event, is suppose to converges all of our efforts, to ensure excellent individual as well as societal delivery in the interest of the nation, which is historic and first of it's kind in India. It is extremely important to show the right direction to present day of Development, to achieve Sustainable Development today, especially when, India is doing remarkably well in international scenario, with a higher and higher GDP growth rate. Our development process also needs to be more and more, greener to ensure a better future to our next generation.
