Dr. Meenakshi Singh

Dr. Meenakshi Singh is a Visiting Research fellow (Biodiversity & Resource Management) at IISD, who is also a certified professional in Sustainability, Carbon Management and Corporate Biodiversity Reporting. She is a member of the IUCN Commission on Education and Communication and serves as the CEO of Sustaina Greens, an ISO 9001:2015 certified Greentech Consultancy. With over 14 years of experience spanning academia, corporate roles, and entrepreneurship, Dr. Singh specializes in project management and training focused on biodiversity assessment, GPS-enabled tree inventory accounting, and carbon sequestration studies.

Dr. Singh has successfully completed more than 15 ecology and biodiversity projects across various industrial sectors, including mining, cement, metal processing plants (Zinc, Aluminium, Copper), oil and gas exploration units, agrotech industries, and companies in the tyre, wire, and cable manufacturing sectors. Dr. Singh has led more than 15 Biodiversity Projects across Industries like Mining, Metal processing, Oil & Gas, and Agrotech. She holds a PhD in Algal Biotechnology from the University of Rajasthan (UGC-BSR Fellowship) with research focused on ecological imbalance and biomass conversion. She has contributed to academia as a Board of Studies member at Mumbai University and a visiting faculty at IIM Nagpur. With over 40 research publications (H-index 8 on Google Scholar) and a grant from InnovateACT, Dr. Singh is also an internationally certified career coach who has mentored 25 students. She is a frequent speaker at national and international events and has judged state-level science exhibitions.

Dr. Singh serves as a Review Editor for Frontiers in Energy Research and as a reviewer for journals like Biomass Conversion and Biorefinery (Springer). She is affiliated with the Federation of Gujarat Industries (FGI), SOCLEEN, ISCA, and the Indian Botanical Society (IBS).
