Dr. Jayant Choudhury is a Visiting Research Fellow (Natural Resource Management & Rural Development) at IISD, who is also a distinguished authority in Rural Development with 22 years of experience in teaching and research. As Head of the Department of Rural Studies at Tripura University and an Associate Professor at NIRDPR, he has made significant contributions through 18 books and 50+ research articles in prestigious journals.

Dr. Choudhury has led funded research projects by World Bank, ILO, UNICEF, and is recognized globally as an Expert by UNESCO. He is the Founder of NETRA Foundation and GFSRD, advocating for inclusive policies and localizing SDGs.
