Ar. Sreelakshmi Haridas is a Research Fellow at IISD, who is a minimalist sustainable Architect, influenced by arts, music & natural elements to describe a trend in designing and create her 'Minimalist Architecture'. She has expanded the ideas of Expressions, by meticulously organizing basic elements such as Lines & Planes. In addition, She has adopted the Architect Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe's motto "Less is More" to explain her aesthetic tactic of arranging the necessary components the right ingredients of a Building to create an impression of extreme simplicity to emphasize her "Doing more with Less". She focus the connection between two perfect planes, elegant lighting, sociological aspects of Green Buildings and Environmental Dimensions. She believes in Environmental Designs and Habitable Urban space with adaptation of modern trends in design and construction to Climate. Considering the changing Lifestyles is the responsibility of an architect and the work is a Cultural Identity. She has been a part of various Green Buildings Certifying Systems such as IGBC AP | LEED GA | GRIHA CP. She manages the Centre for Green Building & Architecture of IISD, which involves Certification, Research, Documentation and Publication.
